JELD-WEN was founded by Richard ”Dick” Wendt, an entrepreneur at heart, who learned the art of managing a manufacturing company under the tutelage of his father, Caradco executive Lester Wendt. In 1957, Iowa-based Caradco sent Dick to Oregon to help run the company’s millwork plant in Klamath Falls. Caradco decided to sell the plant at auction. Dick and four business partners, Larry Wetter, John Biehn, Gerry Wickersham, and Bill Taylor bought many of the assets on October 25, 1960 and named the new company JELD-WEN.

In 1985, Rogue Valley Door began crafting great entrances in Grants Pass, Oregon. Since that time, it has used the latest in milling technology to improve the quality of their doors. Today, the 350,000 square foot manufacturing facility is still guided by the vision of the original owner, John Dunkin. John and his team of designers and craftsmen, ensure that Rogue Valley Door takes pride in every door that it produces. Every high-quality door shipped all over the United States arrives on time and in perfect condition.
- 2827TruStile was founded in 1995 on the principles of design flexibility and short lead times — two things that were noticeably lacking in the custom door market. Our founders recognized a market need for a dependable source of high-quality doors easily specified to match any architectural style and application. Referred to internally as “No limits!” manufacturing, this philosophy continues to be the foundation of TruStile’s business practices. If you can dream it, we can design and build it.
